The entire religious tourism offer in Colombia, all in one place: Faith Routes
Faith Routes is the name given by Proexport Colombia to its recently published brochure, which describes the country’s most visited religious tourist attractions and which may be downloaded from the www.colombia.travel web page.
The 21-page long text provides visitors with information on the location of tourist attractions and religious temples the country has to offer in eight different provincial departments in Colombia, in addition to Bogotá.
With over 500 years of catholic tradition, Colombia offers unforgettable experiences for tourists who wish to combine retreat and rest while discovering the rich architectural, artistic and cultural heritage around the religious theme throughout the entire country.
Majestic churches, religious museums, sanctuaries, traditions and miraculous images are consolidated in the guide published by Proexport Colombia, which was designed to help you choose your destination, not only for the Holy Week holidays but all year round.
The Faith Routes are divided into three parts. The Andean Faith Route is made up of religious attractions located in Bogotá and the provincial departments of Cundinamarca (Bojacá and Zipaquirá), Boyacá (Tunja, Chiquinquirá and Villa de Leyva) and Northern Santander (Pamplona).
The South-Western Faith Route is made up of the provincial departments of Nariño (Pasto and Ipiales), Cauca (Popayán) and Valle del Cauca (Cali and Buga).
Lastly, the Caribbean Faith Route, which includes Bolivar (Mompox and Cartagena) and Magdalena (Santa Marta).
