Proexport Colombia, the Business Network Switzerland, the Embassy of Switzerland and Swiss Colombian Chamber of Commerce gave a seminar in Medellin with simultaneous transmission in Cali and Barranquilla.

How to do business with Switzerland?, Opportunities of the Free Trade Agreement in force with the European country and case studies will be among the issues to be discussed during the seminar FTA Colombia - Switzerland: new opportunities in perspective, to be held on Wednesday, October 19 at the Hotel Medellin Royal.

The event, which will be broadcast simultaneously to the Intercontinental Hotel Cali and the Dann Carlton Hotel Barranquilla, with the attendance of nearly 160 Colombian businessmen, and will take place between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm.

The event is organized by Proexport Colombia, the Business Network Switzerland, the Embassy of Switzerland and the Swiss Colombian Chamber of Commerce in order to deliver relevant information to Colombian companies on the benefits of the agreement and how best to exploit them.

The seminar is part of the work plan also led by Proexport to assist entrepreneurs in the process of preparing to successfully enter the European market. This has included several studies of the markets in which they have identified several business opportunities for Colombian products like fruits and organic vegetables for Europeans exotic flavors such as passion fruit, gooseberry, pineapple and tree tomato.

In clothing, for example, there are possibilities for the sale of pants, jeans, swimsuits, underwear, shirts and blouses, sportswear.
Natural ingredients are also in great demand for Swiss producers of cosmetics and the pharmaceutical industry, which is in strong demand in Europe.
